Choosing a server

Hey All,

I'm looking to get started here on Nostalrius but I have a few concerns about picking the PVE server over the much larger PVP one. The large PVP population doesn't really bother me all that much, but I do want to get the fresh vanilla experience that PVE can provide (since it doesn't even have BWL yet).

My main concern is that the PVE server doesn't have the numbers or faction balance for long-term play. If I roll Horde, will there be people around when AQ40 come out? Does the Horde have a viable AH economy? etc. Hope you guys can clear up any concerns.

I've started off freshly on horde side on the PvE server in November and had no problems at all. Population felt very blizzlike, lots of people around in zones, always someone to group up with for quests, and did almost all of the low-level instances along the way. Now at 60, I quickly found a guild (even as a rogue) to do MC and Onyxia with weekly.

You have nothing to worry about, enjoy the game. Additionally, the population is definitely gonna get bigger when more content is released (DM, then AV, BWL, etc...)
