Can I roll rogue for PvE or Overflow?

So, I've always wanted to roll a Rogue purely for PvE. But I'm scared that there is already a shit ton of rogues on the PvE server. I am stuck between wanting to play a Rogue because I love to DPS, and play a Priest because I like to heal as well. How much rogues have made it into end-game right now? Do guilds still need rogues or it's a lost hope?

EDIT: I just checked the PvE Alliance population census, and in the level 60, there doesn't seem to have an overflow of rogues AT ALL, like, the bar is not even off the chart, like just a little more past the half of the census screen.

There are alot of rogues indeed on both sides like usual on any pvt and like on retail back in the days...
On alliance side i cant think of a top10 guild that is recruiting rogues atm but i can be wrong ofc.
That doesnt mean you wont be able to raid endgame, im sure if you are dedicated enough you can get a spot easy.

Are Rogues really overpopulated on the PvE server or are people just assuming that they would be based on their usual popularity? I've looked at the number of 60's of each class on both factions and the population census and Rogues appear to middle of the road at best.

Would appreciate if anyone could say how it actually is in game. I rolled an Undead Rogue but I don't want to waste my time levelling a class that is going to be way overpopulated at 60. Would happily roll something else that is more in demand.

I'm a 60 rogue on the PvE server, and obviously you can't expect to play a "high-demand" class by rolling a rogue. Nevertheless, finding groups is not really a big struggle, especially if you find a nice guild to do instances with.
