I did a full BRD run earlier and made nearly 30g, if not more, from that run and i didn't do any quests either, except giving the guy the booze(which I bought) but that doesn't count
i also opened 6 coffers and looted them and got lucky on a few rolls though, but you should easily be able to get 15g or more from a BRD full run excluding quests
now as for farming outside of instances I'm not gonna give you an infromation, because if I do then everyone else will start doing it and it won't be worth doing anymore
however I'll tel you of this here anyway: sorrow hill in WPL is a popular farming spot, especially if you need scourgestones for AD rep and/or valor tokens
if there just so happens to be nobody else there, you can get 20+ gold and 200+ minion's sourgestones per hour if not more
classes that can farm efficiently there include mages, paladins, and warriors who are in full plate and using a 2h weapon(may wanna spec 2h fury for it), your weapon should be at least as good as if not better than blackhand doomsaw; as a warrior you should be able to manage 6 mobs at a time with decent gear from dungeons and divide all the pulls into 6 mobs or less
hunters can farm maraudon instead, and once DM:E comes out real soon mages can just farm DM:E
rogues I hear can farm maraudon princess and/or tinkerer gizlock if they know what they're doing, and I also hear that geared up priests can AoE farm DM:E like mages can too, maybe if they're engineers
maybe a good feral druid or shaman(even resto) wearing all mail+a shield can AoE farm sorrow hill if they know what they're doing
now as for warlocks; I'm not sure if theres good enough gear yet, but what they can do if they get enough bonus spell damage is dot dot dot (dot) then move onto the next guy while DS: void or MD: void+soul link is up; making farming single guys easy; favorable targets for this are the level 50-51 undead near the easiest cauldron in WPL, whats that called felstone field? or is there a cauldron west of it? regardless that place gets its fair share of farmers too, just make sure you don't kill the cauldron lord or jabbering ghoul(whatever the quest mob is called) if you don't have to
