It looks like the PVE server population is growing too, and the ore rates need adjusting. In Elwynn Forest last night. In one hour I got exactly ZERO ore. Not to mention I am a vert long time player and know exactly where ore spawns in Elwynn.

Can the ore get a slight boost?

I mean, making money is really hard now.

ore rate is fine other than elwynn, go explore lad.

you have many zones with ore =) don't focus only elwyyn forest zone, its normal that resource are lacking there because characters are created all the time and that's a starting zone/super low level zone.

Join the Horde we have Ore. Waaagh!

I see ore all over the place, and I don't even have Mining. Join the horde!

Finding ore on Horde is the same as finding ore on Alliance.

If you're randomly getting ore then you might be unlucky, I've had a run when going for iron as I was leveling, I spent over and hour and got nothing.

I managed to monopolise Winterspring when I was mining, it was all about knowing what was I was doing.

I'd suggest learning a stable route, have a plan, use it.

Dunno what are you talking about. I got full bank of ore. Was considering lvl BS at some point.

Elwynn veins are bugged, other zones are fine.

As others have said, ore in starting zones is difficult because it is where the largest number of players are typically (everyone is level 1 at some point, not everyone makes it to 60).

I had a difficult time finding ore in Darkshore. After moving to Loch Modan I starting finding more. Had to spend some time at one point leveling up mining, but now I am over 200 mining and manage to keep it leveled just off the ore I find as I quest (and I am alliance).
