the only purpose of voting websites is generating income for their owners.
Visiting the website daily to generate tons of clicks is a good business model for them, which is why other popular servers have their own voting website, more specifically openwow ist owned by lolten aka wagmane

The actual amount of new players generated through these websites is low which is why above mentioned server even scrapped their voting system although they own one of these sites.

Tl;dr: voting websites are pointless and only exist for money making

a good google placement and word of mouth are way more important to generate new players

why vote for nost when there is more or less a constant 1.5 sec delay on everything. Couple that with griefers and farmers not to speak about the exploiting of the bg system at end game for IRL $ sales of boosted chars...
Nost has their job cut out for them, if they fixes that tho, I'd vote for Nost
