You need to have enough mana to holy nova the plants down. I think 6k mana is sufficient but you should carry a mana pot or two as a backup until you get used to it - or at least have Inner Focus for one free HN. It's not a problem to wand one or two near-death plants at the end but if there's 3 or more alive when you run out of mana, it's usually a death sentence.
