Yeah...

The source, was a GM directly stating those players were informed MULTIPLE TIMES that if they continued exploiting this game, they would be banned.

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... 31#p267031

Oh, would you look at that. There is proof of the GM saying they were told multiple times to stop. But, some of you guys continually say the same thing, that the GM, responding DIRECTLY to these NOPE members being banned for exploiting the Songflower, wasn't actually referencing the fact that they've been informed multiple times for the same issue, he just decided to chime in and randomly say they were told to stop exploiting OTHER areas of the game. (So using your dumb logic, they actually exploit more than just Songflower, on multiple occasions, after being told to stop. Upstanding players in the community)

And the nerds defending the NOPE exploiters say they were never told. They provide no evidence beyond that.

Good Job myrul, you're really helping.

On one hand, GMs are directly responding to the NOPE bans, stating why. You deny the fact that the GM responding DIRECTLY TO THE NOPE BANNINGS DUE TO EXPLOITING SONGFLOWER, is actually him referencing something completely different than what he's responding to in that thread....WHICH IS NOPE BEING BANNED FOR EXPLOITING THE SONG FLOWER

Again, great work Myrul. I'm sure you will prove that the GMs are lying and the people who were banned for multiple repeat offenses were telling the truth when they say they never got warned.

Banned Exploiters word vs GMs word.

In reality, players that have been in trouble for exploiting, have finally been banned. The world isn't going to end, Nostalrius isn't dependent on 3 no lifers that spend their time playing Vanilla WoW. This isn't going to effect activity, it's actually going to make the game better.

Cry about it.

Did you just compare a bugged spawn which happened 1 afternoon on this server to a behaviour that was blizzlike and has been happening for 1 year and being "infriged" upon by many players until 4 days where it was considered an infrigement AFTER 3 players were banned?

Does you mind rationalize this as a good example of exploitation to help you? lmao

I actually didn't purposely compare it to that incident, nor was I aware that was ever an issue.

Here is your problem...

"I did in on the Blizzard servers!! I should be able to do it here!!"

https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... 31#p267031

Even if something was possible on retail does not mean it isn't an exploit. There are a lot of things that we've fixed along the way that were possible in retail vanilla, even common use in retail vanilla, but that doesn't mean it isn't an exploit.

Now, to elaborate on that point, the players in question, were not randomly banned for one incident. These are players who, according to the GMs, have repeatedly abused bugs/exploits and have been repeatedly told to stop.

Those 3 banned players were on their last straw. There was no second chance.

Maybe the Nostalrius Devs/GMs were legitimately unaware of this 100% bug with the Songflower. Most likely, the abuse of this obvious bug, WHILE STREAMING, is the straw that broke the camels back.

They didn't just abuse the bug, the streamed themselves doing it. The GMs have proof, that players who repeatedly abuse bugs, are still abusing bugs.

Again, sure they didn't make a public announcement and tell you not to do this. But do they do this with every single exploit in game? No, they don't.

Repeat offenders got banned. The world will continue spinning. And those same no lifers will reroll, because this game is their life.

There is going to be an announcement from the admins regarding this issue soon. Please have patience.

Greetings,

Last weekend, 3 players were banned for duping specific quest items in Felwood. After the research done by players, it appeared that this bug isn't a major one and as a consequence, cannot lead to a permanent closure of an account.

As a result, those 3 accounts are now unbanned. The following items gathered will be deleted from their accounts. From what we saw of the accounts, some of them already have a "last warning" applied prior to the ban, so please check the Terms of Use and feel free to report any abnormal issues in-game. A log has been applied to monitor abusers and a fix is going to be applied in order to prevent any players from abusing this mechanism again.

Best regards.
