Best Class Alt for PvE/Farming

by defti » Wed Apr 06, 2016 8:57 pm

Hello all I'm going to have my main char as my rogue but I may have friends start playing here and I want to reroll with them. I am thinking that I want a hybrid class that can heal and is viable for raids. The second characteristic I'm looking for is also being strong at maybe AoE farming or is just generally proficient at making gold in Vanilla/BC. To give an general idea I'm thinking like maybe farming lower level dungeons or certain mobs while also running enchanting or something..? I hope i could paint a general picture and would appreciate some advice from someone more knowledgeable! Thanks

I'd say either a mage or hunter will be great for that since they can solo a few instances for some gold. But you don't need to prioritize it too much as rogues aren't completely screwed in that department since they can grind mobs nicely and stealth to get nodes surrounded by elites.

Thank you for your input! Yeah i was thinking i can probably find some nice rogue guides utilizing stealth. The thing is though i'm also doing it to play w/ friends and priortize PvE whereas on rogue i'll focus more on PvP especially in TBC. I also find dps and tanking kind of boring in PvE.

In vanilla the healing classes are not good aoe farmers, so you will have to prioritize. IMO if healing is more important to you then your pick, if you want aoe farming then mage (though I heard someone claim warlock dot train was viable idk)
