Nostalrius has satisfied the C&D, they wont get sued right?

I read Nost is sued or about to be sued, is this true or are they exempt from legal problems after closing the server? I mean, they've received a C&D letter and the admins have decided to close their servers as requested by the lawyers, so I guess these guys will be just fine now, right? The lawsuit or whatever should have stopped, as far as I can know, C&D is sent before start any legal charge, to avoid further problems, but if you do as is requested, everything stops.

These guys clearly doesn't deserve any punishment...

some people say they won't if they did what the cease and desist letter requested, I'm glad these guys wont have any trouble

A cease and desist letter is written by a lawyer, generally paid to act on behalf by an interested party, in this case Blizzard.
It has no legal validity in any way, it's just an euphemistic way to tell you: Stop or I'll sue ya. Doubt they'll bother with representation costs by opening a full legal procedure after server shut down.
