Public Source Code? DON'T DO IT!

I hope they will not just make the source code public. I hope they will find best solution and transfer nostalrius source code to 1 other team that is capable to continue all this.

Open source is really the best tool grassroots initiatives have to counter blanket censorship or bullying from one big company against a small group, that would have its code taken from them and forever lost if the successors or priviledged few who get it end up betraying the cause.

Reason: Post Hijacking; Improper Server Advertisement; Signature Abuse; Threatening Nostalrius users with statements of their Internet Protocols gained through Alixium.

Anyone hosting their source code is helping the Nostalrius Fight...why wouldn't you want it on the web.

Fuck off with crappy server ads on every post you make. I know they will make deal with best option and provide codes to them.

I'm not sure you fully understand the implications of making it open source. It's good for everyone.

It's a good thing - the window-lickers will be lost, but everyone else should be able to figure out which server project they will gravitate to.

I like the idea of releasing the source code, but I imagine whatever servers end up using it will have a hard time from exploiters who study the source code and thus understand how to hack/exploit it with ease.

That's where people come in who help run those servers as counter measures. You have to be prepared for such things as a person who runs such things.
