To be honest i hope Nost doesn't announce who the "successor" is. I also wish everyone would refrain from posting the names of possible candidates on the forums. I know <the corporation who shall not be named> will find out about them eventually on their own, but if we use Nostalrius as an example, the more talk about a server there is, the higher chance it will be crushed. This time we should probably let things spread by word of mouth. Also I would hope the aforementioned candidates would not use social media posts to advertise (as many are). The name of the game now is trying to keep things as quiet as possible on the open web, while still spreading the word to friends/guildies via locked forums, private messages, email, etc. in order to recreate the vibrant population a good vanilla server needs to survive. Just my 2 cents.

When and if we official endorse a successor, we will let the community know in as public a way as possible. We are working on a lot of stuff right now and we will continue to update the community as we know more. Just because you haven't heard an official announcement from us does not mean we are not continuing to work. We simply need to be 100% clear and precise with whatever we say as Nostalrius has become a rallying cry for a movement.

To reiterate, we have not endorsed any other private server and anybody that tells you otherwise is lying to you and, therefore, undeserving of your attention.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you guys still continuing to work on projects,just wanner let you guys know lots of Chinese like me will always stand behind Nostalrius, because we are deeply affected by what you guys contribute,"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." we just stay here till Nostalrius back.
