Dreams about Nostalrius

So I played the original vanilla WoW when it was live for years. Got my warrior to High Warlord and also raided, so I ended up with pretty much the best gear in the game (had an Askhandi sitting in my bank). Sold that single character for $1200 a year before TBC came out and used that to buy my first car.

Only played the first 2 expansions until quitting because neither PVP or PVE was enjoyable anymore. Told myself I would never play again and I didn't for 4-5 years until finally trying Nostalrius. Thought it would be awesome to get back into the game that I loved, and it was. I only made it to level 38 after a couple weeks but I had so much fun just leveling up, fighting players whenever I had the chance. Was looking forward to buying my mount and getting to the late game instances.

Then I logged in one day and saw the server was being shut down. I instantly logged out and never logged in again, quit cold turkey. Blizzard didn't just ruin my love for WoW once, they did it twice. I mostly started playing because I was bored of other games, so now I don't have anything that I want to play. As sad as it is, I've also been having dreams every other night that Nost came back up and everything was normal. Just to wake up and realize it would never happen. Blizzard, killing dreams of their fans since '09.

The feeling of accomplishment and competition are real in the vanilla and its two next expansions. You would've loved the pvp scene dude, this server was nuts in Bgs. Vanilla will come back, some day.

Why stop at Rank 12 you ask? I ask myself that all the time!
