- I don't really have an issue with purely cosmetic items being sold in some kind of cash shop for meatspace gold. I personally wouldn't pay real money for e.g. tabards or pets but it doesn't particularly bother me that some people would. I *would* have an issue with gear, consumables/reagents, in-game money or anything else that offers a gameplay advantage being available in a cash shop for real money.
- I also wouldn't have an issue if certain "quality of life" features added mainly during TBC, like the improved character stats interface with the ability to natively see spell crit chance, total spellpower, etc, or expanded macro functionality like /equip, /stopcasting, /cancelaura, [mod=x] etc were backported in. LFR and cross realm BGs/raids and other Catashit are pure cancer and should go and stay gone.
- What will they do when all the autists who've spent the last 11 years playing private servers clearing the same vanilla content over and over and over again have downed Kel'Thuzad, gotten their HWL/GM shit, and hit the gold cap with a bank full of black lotuses within 6 months and start unsubbing? The temptation to add new content would be very high at that point. Unlike most people here I wouldn't be incorrigibly opposed to new raid content or something, if they could do it right and keep it in the "vanilla spirit", sort of like how 2007scape still occasionally gets updates but more or less sticks to Runescape as it was 9 years ago. Unfortunately, I don't trust current Actiblizz to keep anything within the "vanilla spirit" since most of the guys who created that atmosphere in the first place are long gone. So if they're just going to fuck it up I'd rather them not add anything anyway.
- I wouldn't have an issue if certain updated graphics were backported in (new Org looks like shit tho, leave the old one the way it is). I don't feel like a simple graphical update would change what makes vanilla "vanilla", which is, imo, the content, the community, and the relative lack of "modern" MMO features. Although I play female Undead and I can't wear a tabard without it clipping through my ass with every step my character takes so it's possible my opinion is biased on this.
