Blizzard isn't going to release legacy servers because of the petition. What the petition is going to do, is possibly create more headlines, which keeps the pressure on Blizzard and embarrasses them for their pettiness further.

it will be interesting how Blizzard responds to Mark Kern hand delivering the petition if that really ends up happening. Anything else besides something like that and they will just continue ignoring hundreds of thousands of people. They do not want to announce to the public that you might as well sub to a version of the game with zero possible microtransaction services to milk their fat cow customers. You can't even do the math on how much they stand to make from that versus flat rate subscription fees to a dying franchise.

If this keeps up, they'll start making announcements about B shaped toast. They know sooner or later people will give up and go away, so they want to just bury your comments under new updates. This is easier than just mass blocking everyone, and it doesn't get called censoring.

But what if it just festers? Which I'm hoping it will :D

I'm playing on Kronos right now, but I'm still very eager and active in pursuing what Nostalrius wants to achieve.

I think this is Blizzard's quiet way of telling us to go away. :(

I'm still very hopeful that when the petition hits 200k and Mark delivers it to Mike that we'll get legacy servers.

This is what Blizzard looks like with its back against a wall

The wave is moving the company lol

Well if it wasn't too much I'd say go to BlizzCon with the Nostralrius shirt (https://shop.spreadshirt.com/nostalrius/)

And hold up signs that read "You think you do", "But you don't", "We think we do".

...be kind of hard to ignore 2/3 of the audience :P

I think most of you overestimate the bad ways in which Blizzard would act. It's a freaking large company, so you can not expect a decent answer on the legacy topic in such short time. It's a huge change for them, they have to discuss if they would be willing to do it, figure out ways to make this work with licensing, etc.
And then there is more, if they run legacy servers themselves, it has to be financially working out too.

This is nothing which could be decided within a few days, we're talking weeks here.

And I doubt all the announcements are related, they are just on their regular schedule, not early.

And finally, Blizzard is not the small company it was before WoW got released. Becoming this large means you start introducing defined processes how to handle everything that comes up.

It is unfair to just call them names. Make yourself heard loud, and you will get to read something on the matter an hand, given a bit more time.

Don't forget to like all the Nostalrius related comments on their Facebook page, to make them appear first. Let's not get them away with their silence tactic!
