No because they want him to appears as our savior, not a Blizzard employee. And I havn't seen that stuff he posts but I doubt that Sodapoppin fanboys care about "silly or immature" content.
Pettiness and arrogance is a disease in our society that some of you have. I hope you'll self reflect and change your attitude, then question this situation with honesty for your own sake and for the rest of us. But this cliche quote says it best:
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." - Arthur Schopenhauer- A petition, a huge stack of wasted paper, and an old developer, carry much less weight than a team of advisers that Mike actually listens to.
- The decision for a legacy server was made long ago because of the previous statement.
- Marks method puts zero pressure on Blizzard to actually open a server, except for being a tool that they knowingly used to measure potential profit.
- We originally wanted a private server anyway, not more crap they can't do right. Why the change in focus? Its deliberate by endorsing people to push Blizz only servers.
- The video editing is over dramatic, insincere, and looks like an official Blizzard video or more like a commercial rather than something a gamer would make and send to a friend he worked for.
So you can disagree if you want but its plain as day to me. The only point of the petition and wasting all that paper is to generate hype, measure support, and humor us into thinking "we did it!!" when "Blizzard" already made the decision for a legacy server long before Mark stepped in. But I guess this means they'll probably release a server soon. So if i'm right, then Blizzard and Mark should be condemned for deceiving us. And if i'm wrong, then I underestimated the power of a petition.
