I wouldn't hold my breath like the other guy said. The whole thing was doomed as soon as it shifted towards expecting Blizzard to open a server instead of just re-opening a private server that Blizzard can't touch. But nobody seemed to care about doing that, including Nostalrius for whatever reason. And i'm not implying they're obligated either because its not like i'm willing to put in the work to build my own server. Blizzard might still do it, but by the time that happens i'll have forgotten about WoW and invested in other interests. I guess I should thank them for closing Nostalrius since it help me quit, despite the fact that I still check the forum sometimes.

If Blizz wants to do it under their control, it would likely be another product you have to purchase, so they can get their money out of it. I think they are more about $$ than potentially harming Legion or the current version. They can co-exist as long as it adds to their bottom line. This does raise the question of whether all those legacy fans (who undeniably love the game) would still be in love after being forced to pay for it. I absolutely wouldn't have a problem, but some people surely would.
