You truly display the retail mindset on this statement.
Not sure of your age, therefore your exposure to previous titles but just gonna throw a few examples out there:
Super Mario Bros. - 8 Worlds. Did the serous players stop playing once they beat it? I seem to recall even after their 4 installation people still playing the first, having speed clear competitions. Points competitions.
Mario Kart anybody? Woot, got gold on 150cc. Did you quit? No, you owned any shit talker out there, or at least tried to.
Ummmmm ANY FIGHTING GAME EVER MADE. Did the world put down Street Fighter once they went through their "World Tour" single player? No. They harness their skills, compete with each other world wide to the max to the point of "Frame Count or go Home". To this day, I still love playing Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Capcom vs SNK 2.
The best games of specific Genres do not die once it was beaten. It is then relived with making different choices, testing new strats, perfecting your skills and testing yourself. (in this case, making an alt) The beauty of an MMO (even with an end) is that it takes a team (in this case 39 others) to work together, not just on raid night but for preparation.
Even if you kill KT with your super star whatever class you chose, you've never played the game as a healer/tank and it is all new, from VC to Naxx. Same with RDP to MDPS, it is all different, you have different positioning, different times for burst dps, different jobs - CC/Interrupt/Tranq/Disarm/Kite.
Played all the classes all ways? Still the end? No.
Your social skills come into play. Your reputation is everything. It is a living, breathing thing. That in itself doesn't have an end. It is always evolving. If you have only been an average raider, take on a class leadership role. Hell, use that gear you got, make a new guild from the ground up for the new and emerging players and be a mentor/leader/raid leader. Manage not just yourself but your roster, and their egos. Balance keeping everybody happy - #impossible but true leaders still try.
