This is basically what happened.

Nostalrius has given his Source Code and Database to Elysium and 16 nost team members are in Elysium now working.

1) Source Code. This means Elysium now has the scripts, respawns, quest/classes/etc bugs fixed and everything Nostalrius had, it is basically the same server. They are going to drag the current elysium server to 1.9 patch. It is going to be pretty much Nostalrius.
2) Database. Yes, this means every single account is going to be copied into Elysium , so you will keep your characters and all your stuff.
3) Lead Team. Atleast 16 members from Nost are in Elysium now, so we are probably have the same lead team experience. This means the progression of the server from where we left it.
4) It is going to be a PVP server, a PVE server, and probably (not confirmed yet) a Fresh server.

I want to thank you Nostalrius and Elysium, both for what you have done. I hope the long wait is worth, i don't know how exactly the server will be (probably unstable the first week). But after everything im seeing, im pretty sure it will be cool.

Thank you once more, and see you back in Elysium, both the community and work stay.

If someone don't like the idea and prefer to go Kronos, Crestfall or whatever, good bye, we won't miss you, good community will stay and haters will go away.

When I played Vanilla retail, I never thought I would get to experience the true vanilla experience, with community, again. Then I came across Nostalrius. Likewise, when Nostalrius shut their doors a few months ago, I didn't expect to see the same server & toons again...now it looks like this new server project is going to be a continuation.
