At the moment, advocating for legacy content of any kind outside of forums where the population does not favor those for it is a very difficult challenge that is only being made WORSE by our own community

Several posters on MMO-Champion were banned for telling those opposed to kill themselves (amongst a litany of other offenses), and the general tone of many of the posts, threads, etc (on any forum). is toxic and not constructive at all. Frankly, you're making the rest of us look bad, and our jobs WAY more difficult.

If people here truly want legacy content of some kind, then we need to start policing this internally. If you see others shitposting, trolling, or being douches in general, CALL THEM OUT. I know we're all on the same side, and I know that emotions are high, and many are angry. But we need to keep our points and posts focused, and our arguments civil. Ignore trolls, just as it has been since the beginning of the internet. Feeding gets you nowhere and stalls/derails any real discussion.

Please, please, PLEASE! I know how great this community is, and I know some have made us look worse than we are to the rest of the WoW/Gaming communities in recent days due to their emotions, but now is the time to move past this.

We're being heard. Slowly but surely, we're making our voices heard to those who matter. As a community, let's make that voice one worth hearing, and one that could help us sway Blizzard's decisions on legacy content in our favor.

Everyone's hurt is still raw right now. A couple of players mouthing off on MMO Champion or in other pro-Blizzard echo chambers isn't going to turn the narrative on its head. If the admins of Nostalrius think it's getting out of hand they'll release a statement to that effect, otherwise you're just trying to backseat moderate.

I suppose. I just hate seeing this side of a community that was, for it's faults, a pretty damned good one. Not purposely trying to backseat mod, just sharing my thoughts after spending the past few days fighting my way out of being automatically lumped into what many believe to be a trollish, immature, overly dramatic, and ill-informed community. I know this is far from the truth, but this is the public perception that even many unbiased 3rd parties are starting to take on, and that is not helpful to our cause.

@Deathbringer: You are only making it tougher for yourself if you want Nost back or any kind of legacy content ever. I cannot stop you from doing anything, only ask that you help move us forward instead of backward.

My suggestion would be if you see this, reach out personally to the person in question if you can. Don't use an accusatory tone, but approach them as a fellow player on the server and how you commiserate, but encourage them to focus on better means to express their frustration. Yes, the chances are they won't respond in the way you'd like but they still might think on it.

Yeah, it's tough to catch them as threads tend to be short lived and bans swift. No PM functions on the WoW forums and all that. But trying it on a more personal level wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

It hurts, it really does. I was on the PvE server myself at 60, cleared all current content, and in fact I just got Deathbringer from Ony, Deathrbingerx. I miss it so much, I just want us all to fight for what we want as best as we possibly can.
