I could live with either. New models is not going to increase my enjoyment of the game, but it might mean more dev time required. So just keep the classic models.
It's nice of him to keep up the attention like this. He doesn't want interest in this to fade as Blizzard was probably hoping. As for the poll, I'd say no because Blizzard can't be trusted with it. You allow this, soon you'll have a cash shop with pets and mounts. Then they'll push for heirlooms. The line has to be drawn quickly with legacy.
I think an upgrade from the upgrade models is needed first. Anyway, I hope for a better lighting engine, real time shadows, parallax occlusion mapping, water, etc, and a proper night.
Other than Bnet2 integration we want vanilla as-is so that Blizzard spends the least amount of time bringing it back. All you people asking for enhancements are foolish. Stop it. Nostalrius didn't have ANY of this nonsense and people liked vanilla. Stop trying to sabotage things.
