I prefer everyone having ashkandi and all the high level shit so I can destroy them with my undergeared characters just to show them how utterly terrible they are at the game.

You're completely right about the chinese issue though.

So a big issue that you are seeing is people in gear that they get from raids? The boss encounters are exactly the same. The level of skill back then of players were not like today because the game has been out for over a decade. Back then people did not know what raiding was. Sure a lot of guilds have cleared current content but that is because there is a ton of information about these fights as they are 10+ years old.

thats about 0.1% out of 7 million players,

Your point is still valid, but around 150 guilds did clear naxxramas ;-) As soon as the first video of 4h kill released with the excel sheet with their boss rotation, a 50+ kills came the following few weeks :p

On topic:

The actual vanilla experience cannot be done, because we're not in 2005 anymore. But this is as close as we can get.

You should also understand, that on this server you get most of people who really loved vanilla, not average mass as back then who played wow just because there was nothing better. These days you have hundreds of games to chose from and casuals playing there. On Nostalrius we have people who knows what to do, where farm best gear and also now we have tons of guides. So yeah, it is vanilla like, but you never be able to get THAT feeling that you had back then.

First of all this is not 2005

1. Back in 2005 you need to read the tactics. Now you can watch movies.
2. People are actually play better.
3. You need to stop crying.

This is kinda the way life, evolution, and society works. We are more advanced, have more resources, and greater skillsets.

Are the results of an olympic 100 meter race any less valid because everyone does it in under 10 seconds now?

Or...is popcorn any less yummy because we made it in a microwave?

As alway, I would say it's probably more healthy in the game and in life to stop deriving pleasure from what you have as compared to everyone else, but instead from what would make you personally satisfied.

If you guys look guilds that raids BWL you can see sometimes it drops 2-4 Askandis on the same boss kill, this is why there is so many ppl with extreme weapons, back in 2005 you could only get 1 if you were lucky!

If you actually have proof of that happening, please post it in the Bug Tracker so the IsVV team can double check the drop rates. But in general, considering the high number of raids we have, you can see even the most unlikely outcomes happening every now and then.
