PVP Server: Join Horde- dont waste your time with Alliance

You want more people to go horde side because they are bigger in numbers etc?
Right now it is ~55/45 H/A ratio. Why not try to even out the ratio instead?

You want even longer BG queues for the horde? I don't get it. Roll PvE server if you can't handle the world pvp here, scrub.

I rolled horde first when coming to this server, and once I hit the contested zones I was non-stop running for my life. I even got ganked in the safe zones when I was accidentally flagged or when I was flagged when traveling. It was so terrible I quit, and did the PvE server. However, my brother started playing alliance PvP so I came back, and I have had a much better experience on the alliance side. I kill way more than I am killed, and usually I am only killed by those of a much higher level. I stay out of the hotly contested zones until I am a higher level, and try not to let my health go too low. Also instant bg que times are sweet.

What I hear from every Horde PvPer is that Alliance having paladins makes it pretty tough if they are coordinated and not scattered randomers. Having played both Paladin and Shaman, I agree.

Difference is, Alliance pugs are full with PvE people (some of them people who wont' communicate at all), therefore with slow reaction times, used to using only a couple of spells, and unfamiliar with fighting a thinking opponent.

I have always, in retail and any server I've played, rolled ally. The amount of ganking has never bothered, it's why I love PvP.

My experience has been different. I first started a Horde toon, the MOMENT I started in contested zones I was getting ganked, 3-4 times an hour by Alliance 60 rogues. There was even one (just ONE) killing every single NPC in Sun Rock. It was pretty annoying and nearly made me re-roll on PvE. Decided instead to re-roll on Alliance.

The experience on Alliance has been better, I run past horde 60's and MOST of the time they don't even bother me, don't attack, don't gank. Was able to level up much easier in contested zones.

As far as getting groups go...unless you are a healer or tank, you probably won't get ANY groups past about Level 25. My level 32 Rogue has been sitting in IF for a week trying to get ONE run of Gnomer so I can complete the 5 quests I have for it...can't get a group, every group spamming chat is seeking a tank. So really, it doesn't matter what side you roll for groups, you need to be leveling a Warrior or you won't get any groups anyway.

I'm slowly leveling a warrior now instead of my rogue that I actually WANT to play so I can get a toon to 60 to support the toon I want to play.

shit, I've quested only killing 1 mob at a time and then being ganked by a 60 horde in stv.

Haha yeah...farming troll tusks for the warrior WW axe quest, hiding in dips, ravines, behind buildings like Mogadishu for 4 hours. Fighting off equivalent levels, getting pawned by 60s, sneaking revenge when no 60 was looking. Was very fun. STV seems to be designed by devs to engender this strife as it's Horde homecourt advantage (base with guards mid map with quick free Zeppelin and no Ally FP up north). No wonder they call it Viet Nam. With a crowded pop it's great fun.
