Like a convention I've helped organize and manage - thanks to our jobs we were able to throw our own salaries into the pool and provide much better experience for lower price point while getting that warm, fuzzy feel of helping people and bringing entertainment into their lives =)

When you've money, turn it into memories, best investment!

True, but i think many are afraid that when/if they get bored, the project will die, there is prob more motivation if they atleast get some donations etc to help with the financial burden, if you know what i mean :)

I fully expect them to just up and pull the plug one of these days. Since it's private and free they don't really have any obligation to give us any heads up or explanations. As another poster said, sooner or later they'll get bored and feel that it isn't worth the amount of time required to keep it up and running. That's why I'll never invest too much of my time into this project. It is fun no doubt, but equally precarious.

You guys are so naive.
One thing im sure, no one works for free and I bet they're making a lot. How they're making I dont know, I have my theories but they are just that.
Anyway I really like the server and I think they are doing a great job.

Any theories that have to do with anyone on the staff making money are foolishness. Most months the bill is paid by the team directly - very little has been donated compared to the cost of running the servers. We've only once asked explicitly for donations and it hurt to do so. Our goal is to provide the best possible server and prove that you can provide an outstanding service while making no financial profit. We've stated this many times in the past although I understand the skepticism considering the type of administrations of other popular private servers.

We have indeed turned off the Paypal donation option and it will be replaced with a more transparent option soon. There will be an announcement when this happens.
