If the lag is too much you should roll on the PvE server.

The problem is not the Chinese or the lag. The problem are peoples expectations.

You come to a >FREE< >INTERNATIONAL< server and QQ about lag and "Chinese" players. I mean that's pretty f-ed up if you ask me.

Sooo then we'd be back at where we were before the Chinese joined, which was less lag, but still just as unplayable and just as many people complaining about it everywhere.

Good idea!

Because a service is free does not mean expectations do not have to be met. Free to play games for example have the same expectations as paid games in many respects. Nostalrius wants to retain its audience and therefore it maintains a number of expectations such as uptime, staff, working raids, etc. The notion that nostalrius does not have to maintain a set standard is ridiculous and I advise you to stop using this overused argument.

With that out of the way, the delay is so bad. When I played during NA primetime hours 4 months ago there was no server delay. Now due to the Chinese migration my ping has gone from a playable 150 avg to 200. There is also constant server delay that even EU players are experiencing. While we wait for the server administrators to implement the new server parellelization feature I hope there is something we can do to mitigate or avoid this terrible server delay. That is the purpose of this thread and it doesnt look hopeful.

People complain about lag, yet here I am in Australia, happily running about with a 400ms ping, enjoying all that Vanilla WoW has to offer.

Grow up.

Yes it does. You have to adjust your expectaions to this FREE server.

Lifealert wrote:Free to play games for example have the same expectations as paid games in many respects.

Nostalrius is NOT a "free to play game". It's a freaking pirate private server dude.

Show me evidence of you claim or else you are just full of bullish when you blame the Chinese for your ping. And even if it's true, so what? It's a freaking FREE pirate private INTERNATIONAL server.

Oh really? What I see is a QQ bullshit thread blaming the Chinese, AGAIN, for anything bad that you poor poor American (I'm guessing) experience on this European International server. F-ing amzing how f-ed up that sounds when you read it out loud...

I will say it again. The only real problem here are some players expectations and ignorance.

Or in your case, laziness. You could play on the PvE realm if you want to reduce serverlag but buhu it's to much work to level up again for you... But you go on blaming the Chinese instead. Very constructive.

The only justification I can find regarding banning the Chinese from the server is the removal of the bots. But I cannot image the removal of the bot overhead would have much, if any effect on the server's performance.

If that's NOT what they're thinking, then they're pretty out of line.

This is because you have grown up playing on nothing but 300+ ping servers due to your location and the fact that AU servers for any game are extremely limited.

As for you Wrathom, I'll get to you when I get home and expose you for your limited understanding of the sitution, your inconsistencies, your extreme bias, and most of all your stupidity. Typing on a phone is really redundant.

not that i would want that, but why should chinese not be allowed to play? i read so much shit from underclass people without education, it's poor.

The lag is there, but i wouldnt say unbearable. It's annoying, but if it's becoming better in the next months i'm fine with it tbh. It's amazing how far the server has been optimized.

Vote this one ~~
