We should remember the fallen, the AV premaders, the Silithus miners, the TradeDispenser guy etc, who gave their lives and accounts to bring us to this moment.

1. AV wasn't a permaban for anyone involved - They made a statement of unwanted player behaviour.
Which is borderline unethical but still within the boundaries of reason.
2. Silithius Miners couldn't be safed without jeopardizing the ToU - The only reason these bans couldn't have stood up are unknowledgable players. This can't be proven and lifting the bans would result in a freepass for everyone exploiting bugged game mechanics in the future.
- So eventhough I don't believe the people banned over this were acting deliberately, it's impossible to prove otherwise.
3. Still deserves a review of his ban.

Anyway, it's good to see Nostalrius can reopen a case they were dead set on already.

i called this outcome as soon as i heard of the 'perma'ban

weakness and lack of judgement to rush into a decision so quickly and then bend over to revert the decision before a week has passed.

As much as I love this server, I have to agree that the GMs sometimes rushes too hastily into permban and it it sad. All for the sake of "swift punishment" and showing "leadership". I am glad they changed their minds because it was the right thing to do. Please let this be a learning experience for the Nostalrius leadership. From the start all I've heard is that they will warn you time and time again for many infractions before they go to the drastic measure of permban, yet they seem to hand out permbans like its candy.

It is quite rediculous.

EDIT: Looking into the story GMs claim these players had several infractions on their accounts already, and had been warned for doing exactly this thing previously. I dont know what to believe anymore.
