    1. Your event would be best done as a player-driven event.
    2. You are asking for the dev team to create something special for you (and maybe your buddies).
    3. You (and your buddies) are not representational of the silent majority.
    4. You dismiss the idea of doing it as a player-driven event as "not epic", yet you claim there is no real reward for using NPC's. Pot, kettle.
    5. You claim it would not affect those not willing to participate, yet it takes place in locations where it would by definition affect those not willing to participate.

Yes, I really would not want to play here if it was not a vanilla emulation. Yes, what you are asking for is custom scripting and non-vanilla. Yes, you can do this yourself elsewhere, and yes it is available elsewhere.

Stop trying to change Nostalrius into something you personally want instead of keeping it pure. If you want some custom scripts, go elsewhere. If you don't want to, do it as a player-driven event. If you're not willing to, remember that you're not paying to play here.

Actually I enjoyed the reading his chain of thought, and found the illustrations interesting and insightful.

I've looked over your post history and there's not much to go by. I honestly think you judged this thread far, far too quickly and was a bit too critical.

Simonich is quite a personality and I for one can only wish that more people would grow their creative side.

Sure, I'd go for this.

If the GM's were to create original events and content, I would at least experience them before condemning or giving praise to the idea.

With that being said, I do feel that responsibility falls on us the players to to organize world pvp events; such as maybe an ally guild and a horde guild meeting in Duskwood and fighting it out all day.

Simonich, I recently started a guild (on the alliance side) with the intention to be involved, in some aspect, in World pvp. Maybe once I get my guild more grounded, and have a bit more of a membership, you and I could talk and organize some events.

Best of wishes to your idea.

+1
Even if I don't see this suggestion being applied, the effort of inventing something new and pushing it to see what fruits it gives is one of the best things Voroshilov has. Probably because he's young. After all, neurones stop being born after you're 23 years old. There's a reason why artists/theoricians have a crisis in the mid 20s, and usually try to go down psychedelic drugs to keep having an open mind. Sad fate for the rest of us when you think of it.

I can insist that truly, it is nowhere else to be found. This is not all about you, but this is not all about me either. However this affects a large amount of people in a good way, but does not affect the "full exactly-how-blizzard-made-it" people, unless they have some sort of OCD, besides, it will attract people interested to it, and those not interested should not be affected almost at all.

1. Matter of opinion here
2. Its not special only for me, or my "buddies", but yet for a large amount of people, most likely hundreds.
3. This is only a suggestion, which i know many would like. Still a small percentage, but yet many
4. Read more carefully, i meant that participating in the event should NOT give you any reward as in gold, loot, or any other currency.
5. It would not affect them less than if the npcs weren't there, but yet those are a great addition for those interested in the event. etc, the levelers in redridge wont be affected for the elite guards and commander added in the lakeshire inn less than they would already do. And will also not be affected by a horde boss npc that fights only when hit. The npcs allied to horde rather to neutral hostile doesnt make much of a difference either. And the whole thing lasts a couple of hours more less.

Its a matter of opinion, but i see good results in the poll right now.

Nost, give it a try, one time wont harm, and see the community's response???

You are ignoring my point that to see your "dream" come true you should engage with the Role Play forum instead of trying to change Nostalrius to suit your desires.

It is not about whether your idea is good or bad. As a storyline it is good. That does not mean it should alter the gameplay experience for everyone else. It means you should engage with the Role Play forum to further your creative writing and plot driving skills.

At this point I think it is obvious that you are not open to seeing it happen, and are more interested in getting what you want, the way you want. That is not what Nostalrius is about.

This is from the FAQ, with color since you like that kind of thing:

Despite many vanilla private servers attempts, none actually fulfilled players needs. After 4 years of development, Nostalrius provides you the adventure that you always dreamed of, as it was just before the first expansion Burning Crusade, a golden age for most players.

Yet there are plenty ofnthings that are not as how they were back then. Many unblizzlike things, like the queue system which is a huge thing, compared to a few npcs spawning for an event once in awhile. This does not stop people from experiencing the golden ages entirely (but to what extent? look at the server's population, its NOT blizzlike, its a huger thing than this)

I did not get to experience the golden days of no-battlegrounds, bgs released at day 1, thats a huge con for me, but eh..

But hey, we want different things, i have my points you have yours, it is up to the admins if they want to accept such thing. Cause i know many people want it, and those who dont want have very little to choose.

That's all to be said, we both shown our opinions, i think this will be a good thing, and it cannot cause too much harm just for being there for small period of times. We will see what the staff has to say, dont forget the poll :D

You sure do have an unhealthy obsession for Redridge as a Horde player.
