It's quite funny that taking gold from mail is a reason for a ban. This servers rules are so messed up. Someone was nice gave him gold for a mount he takes it and gets banned, such a joke haha Nost rules.

Anyone can make that excuse if they get gold delivered to him from a gold seller. That is why you should vet gifts like this first through a GM. Really dumb not to as you risk your account.

Some random dude I made friends with while lvl'ing also send me all his gold when he suddenly decided to delete his character. I made a ticket to ask a GM if I could get in trouble for taking the gold. I got told that it was up to myself if I wanted to take the risk - if the gold was "dirty" I would be fucked and outta luck. I decided to delete the mail containing the gold, as I didn't rly know the dude who send it very well.

You should compare this to the kind of things people accept from their government on a daily basis when it comes to their money, or what they can say in public, and suddenly will see it's just a tendency. People will accept anything as long as it's not unbearable.

Create a new account with a temp character, send the gold to there and see what happens. If the account gets banned then you know it wasn't safe :p.

Well most people know Sim/Vori on this server, I'd say take it, if gm's say it's dirty, let them take it off you.

It's not too far fetched to think someone gave you that gold.
