Skill obviously does show in the others don't get me wrong, but for what matters, a warlock can always coil, fear and dot. A mage can always nova-blink. Etc.

But with hunters, the difference is worlds apart. PvE backpeddler hunters who only ever learnt to send in their pet and shoot while soloing, or who are only brought to their raids to push their tranquility shot button and do their aimed shot/autoshot thing, are utterly pathetic to duel. Just an exercise of staying on top of them as a warrior till they drop dead.

A skilled PvP hunter is a total pain, and once matched with enough gear, it'll be pretty hard to ever pull a win unless crits and a lucky resist on freezing trap are on your side.

And I saw this first hand. One of my former guildies, now part of a raiding guild, lost vs me whenever we dueled. I think I lost 1 duel vs him of the 10 or so we did. Unsurprisingly he never did bgs, he just rambled about BiS gear and raids.

Another of my guildies queued with me consistently when I was still ranking. After he added most engi trinkets to his arsenal ( I don't have it on my warrior), good timing of wing clip/trinket my hamstring, perfect swapping between FD/trap and scatter, it was pretty rough to ever beat him.

Any skilled pvp player on any class is a pain.

Very true but hunter I find is the most extreme of any class in game. No other class requires such mastery of kiting and movement and no other class I experienced required such a deep understanding of macro making in order to make the class work. So many people joke about Huntards but in my opinion (after playing all classes to end game pvp other than warrior and priest) they are actually the most complex class to master in all areas in the game. They allow the most strategic construction of macro play in the game. The creates an extreme gap in knowledge between those that suck and those that are great.

Agree to most of that list (can't judge shaman).

How come hunters are so low though? I'd put them very high up that list, guess right before Warlocks. They auto shot crit you for more than 1k, multishot crit you for 1.3k+, and get 1 inch too close and they'll raptor strike crit you for 1k+. Unless the stars align, I find it very hard too beat a decent hunter.
