It's ludicrous that a company based entirely on derivative content (Warhammer Fantasy = Warcraft, Warhammer 40k = Starcraft, Team Fortress 2 = Overwatch, Magic: The Gathering = Hearthstone, Generic MOBA = Heroes of the Storm, Baldur's Gate = Diablo) throws around DMCAs to begin with.

For me the solution is simple. In fact the shutdown of Nostalrius has not changed it. My solution is to not buy anything they are selling. Since 2010 all content released by Activision Blizzard has been dumpster quality and I am not missing out by boycutting it entirely.
I was planning on watching the Warcraft movie, but since the shutdown of Nostalrius has reinforced my beliefs, I will instead download it.

Don't get me wrong, I think they are correct in trying to protect intellectual property. Only, this was never their property and even if it was, they have no intentions of using it, so for the sake of the fans another alternative solution should have been found. Forcing all private servers to host in Russia isn't helping anyone.

I'd like to salute you with this song, I really love: Hatebreed - I will be heard (and I'd like to say that with this song, we will be able to achieve our goals! Haha kidding, but ... yeah. That song can motivate you!)

And I have a question now: how to e-mail, or open a ticket ? I have an account in eu.wow and I'd like to write to them for this matter! I haven't played since WoTLK, because I am really disappointed with the game, so... I'd like to talk with those guys!

Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Shinigamy.

You have to go to battle.net. Then you have to submit a ticket. And you have to keep picking options that say you have an "other" issue. Then finally you can submit a ticket and ask for a call back or live chat.

Imagine if all of those joined forced and sued Blizzard for every $ they ever made... now that would be fun.

They should hire the entire Nostalrius team. They're not only flushing the players' experiences down the toilet, but the talent that coded and maintained the server as well. They found a guy who did WoW machinima years ago, and now his job is to make most of the cut scenes.

Seriously, allocate 2 Blizzard employees to oversee the authenticity of the legacy server, charge players $25 one time to use the server, now the developers have jobs (which they deserve) and we all get what we want. Right now it's all bad business practice and waste of human resources.

Yeah I still don't understand how a small staff can run a huge vanilla server not for profit, but if Blizz does it, it will not be cost effective.
