I purchased stock in the company on Friday. My hunch is good as a buddy has informed me from some folks he knows in the company that something big is being worked on. No its not legion, but is related to the shutdown, plans for legacy, etc. That is all I know.

Was it right for Blizzard to destroy a community of players who enjoy old content, most likely, no. They ruined our fun. Was it legally necessary so that they have no competition, absolutely.

Will many of us, myself included, pay to play on legit servers, yes. Will we rebuild our community, absolutely. We will have low ping servers in our countries. We will have our game, that we just want to play. Is it a money grab, your fucking right. It is their IP, they have the right to do it.

O I would love to rebuild, I am just saying I would still be appauled if they got away with it if that is their reasoning. I won't lie, I despise current wow more than any other mmo. I enjoy true challenges, a game that takes effort and has great community.

However, I would not do a legacy server if dungeon finder is implemented and a boost system.

Blizzard will most likely not put in LFR and LFG. They will most likely launch legacy servers, then put out a disclaimer saying "We will not do bug fixes for classes, mechanics, talents. This is the way WoW was for the original game. Any complaints about these issues will be ignored. Many former fans requested access to this game and we are providing it as it was."

this probably does have some truth to it. With the movie coming out, they will anticipate new accounts. Kicking a high population private server to the curb can only help. Sadly, many of these refuges will go back to retail. Even more sadly, this means Bliz may not have any interest in our Vanilla cries.

Well, that being said, let's get this database over to the successor so I can finish grinding my new pally, shall we?

Consider this. Nost team said they would share the core (open source) and the database (trusted team). What if they announced this as a way of calling Blizzard out for no legacy. We have yet to see a release. If there intention was to get Blizzard at the table for either A. licensing a vanilla progressive server, B. be hired on to run Blizzards legacy servers.

Good way to get what you want, always have a ace in the hole.

A private server to test the waters, create a story about a C&D, shut down, watch the internet explode, a month before film release, announce legacy servers, profit.
