Of course. I have a hard time imagining any fan of original WoW/TbC would miss that opportunity. The possibility to have stable servers with a reliable account that will not get deleted, sign me in. Of course some people would still be angry with Blizzard for taking so long to react, but people would flock to these servers. Mark my word, If I knew Blizzard was considering this option I would start buying their stock to be honest.

TBH, in case they release legacy servers in the next weeks or we have a clear green light to operate on a private server with the guarantee they won't shut it down, I already contacted a dozen of my IRL friends and another dozen of Vanilla lovers that quitte but would like to start over.

My plan is simple, make it hardcore, even harder than what I did on Nostalrius

As long as Blizz doesn't ruin it with everything they did to retail (and they WILL do it) and as long as the community is as big as that of Nost... yes. However the first is unavoidable and Blizz can't handle that many people on a server. So no.

Well, I was planning on playing on Nost. Made a char a few months ago and got to 5 and then other stuff took my time.

The shutdown made me realize Nostalrius was a very good private server and had tons of people. If I knew that I would have made more time sooner.

Now I am waiting for the next big thing/the next server everyone will go to and in the meantime I will go to playtbc for my tbc experience.

But yeah, even if I lost it all, I would do it again since the whole community thing and the journey is what is awesome. Although I would certainly pick a server in a safer country.

I would, but I barely touched a lot of Vanilla (focused on low level BGing). Of course, if someone really attacked Vanilla, they might not be interested to reset and do it all over again, but I think the latter is a small minority.
