Kaplan probably thinks something similar as well.

Kaplan hasn't been part of WoW development since LK came out, the game started going downhill shortly thereafter. That was also around the time the company became part of Activision. I'm sure he has personal views as an MMO developer, but he's involved in other stuff at Blizz so I wouldn't expect much of a response. I'm not sure that he has any presence on social media, etc.

I felt that too, there was like one guy giving the Zul'Gurub event a nod, and probably dying inside a little knowing the man on the stage was the only person who understood it too.

To be fair, have you seen that video where they announced WoD at.. I think it was Gamescom?
The audience looked as if he was holding a five hour presentation about the history of corporate accounting, and that was crowd that probably specifically came to this even to see these new announcements.
Don't know why, I guess many especially in the front rows might just be exhausted by a full day at such an event, and probably having had queued up for hours prior to the actual presentation.
