You can't do anything to influence Blizzard at this point.

They can shut down WoW retail and still do pretty well with Hearthstone, Diablo, Overwatch, HotS.
They did pretty much the same with StarCraft 2, i.e. sank it completely and nobody cares about it anymore.

The only thing you can do is to boycott all Blizzard's products.

The only way to play vanilla is to host it beyond the legal reach of Blizzard.

I don't want Blizzard to make legacy servers because they will surely mess it up. I honestly trust vanilla in the hands of the community way more than I trust Blizzard. I'm already playing on Kronos now and enjoying it. There is a large healthy community there. If Blizzard decides to close down that server I'll migrate elsewhere, they can't put out the fire that they've ignited with the Nostalrius situation.
