For the first time, I am beginning to think that Mark might be truly winging it. I thought maybe he really did have open communication with Mike Morhaime, and that they had already agreed to welcome Mark in, celebrate the passion of the community and the love of one of Blizzards most pivotal games, and announce that they were willing to take a look at legacy.
But today. Today. Today Mark does not finish his plea video on time because he hadn't learned the software yet, but after he finished it, he sent it to "SodapoppinTV", a Twitch streamer. Sodapoppin won't play the video because he's embroiled in a Twitch drama with another streamer who got banned for showing her vagina, and he's mad about it. These are not the goings-on of a successful plea to Blizzard. These are the goings on of a sitcom.
I feel like if Mark was really serious about this, he would have had the video ready, and released it on his own. I've lost all faith in Mark being any true hope for legacy servers. I'm more interested now with how much money Sodapoppin paid Mark for their exclusivity deal. I fully expect this entire thing with Mark to fall apart in the coming days.
