no ones done it but you can just replicate the characters "save file" on another server im sure.

Some servers offer transfers. Of course, then you have a myriad of factors that affect whether or not you can transfer, like if you want to go from a x5 server to x1, you're out of luck, then there's content differences, etc.

As for the former server known as Nostalrius, the characters are the least valuable part they could release.
And I am saying this as someone who lost a bunch of chars in 2013 that he played since 2009. I got over it :p.
