Someone, repost this to the official wow forums. Time to set J.A. Brack disciples on fire. + I'd like to see if they will be deleting vanilla related threads after this meeting)

It's difficult for averagegamerdudes like myself to understand the struggles. Things are moving and they're listening - I got what I wanted from spamming them on facebook. What's left to say?

at this point, the Warcraft movie just released, and Legion is coming up soon,
they know they did a mistake by shutting down Nost at this period ( But they didn't know that so many people will turn against them ) that's a really bad promotion

So i really hope they don't act friendly only for their economy, we want something concrete

Thanks for the report

Mark Kern kept his word. Blizzard is tracking topics, comments, videos... about this "Legacy movement" far more than we think they do so J.A. Brack was right when he said:" You think you do but you don't".

I am pretty sure that Blizzard will release official vanilla realms but when and how will they do it (because of Legion's release, technical issues=optimizing the code, integrating with Battle.net, maybe they are looking for solution to be able to play diffrent versions of WoW with same client, plus don't forget that Blizzard sets very high standards before they release anything etc...) would be too much to predict :)

Thank you for this thread ;)

As I said on Twitter: the meeting's goal was to say to Mike Morhaime everything about legacy servers and our will. He wouldnt announce anything here. We reached that goal. In fact, Mike knew everything. It means Blizzard is seriously listenning to us.

Blizzard is still in the decision process. I cant wait the Nostal meeting :D We can have great hope!

Using the same client would be a silly thing, would also mean 1 HUUUGE client, smarter would be for them to offer several depending on what expansion you want to play (if they offer more than vanilla that is). Just like how they offer downloads for their older games via battle.net. Optimizing the code sure, and i guess they cant keep their hands away from integrating it with battle.net (not that i care about that). Lets hope the meeting with Nost provides something more :)!

Thank you kindly for the quick summary. As I don't use, and thus particularly know how to navigate the labyrinth that is Twitter.
