I honestly hope this never happens; this will just mean more Nostalrius-wannabe vanilla servers pop up.

The important part of Nostalrius was not the code, but the team behind it, and in that case they can improve the code quality themself already.

Its a matter of opinion really but I think Nost team is done, unless they get a jobs at blizz they will not risk getting involved in anything since this thing got big. So as much as I give kudos to Nost team i think its a time for them to release code/data (as they promised ffs) and maybe coach new set of people.

If that happend, would surley affect Blizz - Nost relation and the chance of offical legacy servers in a BAD way to, amazingly enough there are so many kids that dont even consider this or just value their private character over the much bigger picture here.

Quality in vanilla servers sometimes is just perceived because if nice visual representation even though reality lacks.

Funny, it's reverse for me, I tried a few mmo's and got bored in a few hours... In wow i got my hommie and we played leveled or just did shit in the world for hours upon hours, i don't feel a reward for the newer games like did on vanilla.

Also stop QQing about the code please, i think most of us are just... Tired? I don't know about you but shit... Traveling from server to server it dulls you out, losing all your shit, trudging throw the shit. I mean, when a server is wiped It's different then you know, losing your decked out D2 char... It's sort of like when you get kicked out of your house as a kid and you're to dumbstruck to truely understand what's going on, so you just keep moving foward, not looking foward or back. Your motions are just there, in action without meaning, sure it hurts or you feel a sense of pride a few times... Hell even the second or third maybe, but affter a while you're just so... Void? I don't know the real word, for it but you won't truely ever adapt to it, so you just lose all your sense, and get tired. Legacy servers are what can end such. I mean i leveled on more servers then i liked, but never was it wasted time. It was well spent, every damn character had vaule to me, and all the people around. Sure i'm some blue collar nerd, but. Damn where those good times. If there is truely an end to such a senseless void then why do we fight it. I think people don't understand, that if they relesed the code we'd have even more feenix's that does nothing for us as a community, Blizz really doesn't gain Enough out of screwing us. And if they can give us somthing we want, give em a chance, it's hard to remember that they of course, did make the game. Even if they turned a good boy scout into a heroin loving male stripper. You can still cure that, and turn it into somthing better.
