Sadly he does not have any control over Blizzard or Warcraft. All he could try to do is convince them to come around, which has failed. It's time for Nostalrius to bring the server back up. We've been down almost the whole year now, and it'll be for nothing when you realize Blizzard is never going to host or support the server. If you bring us back up soon we can catch all the people quitting from Legion. The expansion resubs promptly quit again in 1-3 months, as the content is already exhausted and they don't want to wait 6-12 months for more shit to do.

No, he could lend his voice to the conversation, and someone of his stature would have more meaningful input than most in the private server community. I don't see his actions as failure, maybe if you had unrealistic expectations about the intended result of his actions it might seem that way though. And it's only been a few months, these decisions take time with a company of that size & complexity.

Nost would never come back, i dont really know how your brain operates, but if legacy became a thing, that would never mean they would put nost back up, at best it would mean that blizz would put up their own legacy servers. Since you already seem 100% sure blizz wont do anything i suggest you play on some other realm, iv played more on K2 now than what i did on Nost, and i cant say i see more buggs on k2 than i did on nost (but for some reason you have)

I like alot of people are waiting for blizzcon, till i fully put myself onto a priv server, most likely K2, i feel like i'm getting to old, not as a person mind you but a gamer itself or nerd, I'm just tired of playing on a server then having to leave it and look for another it's just tedious and it gives you so much anxiety that's why i didn't look at Nost seriously for a little bit, until i've seen how long they could survive, I mean the only 1x server that can honeslty say they've been alive for so long was... ED but we know how ED is, K2 is ALOT easyier then nost, i mean i'm not 60 yet. but alot of things we did on nost (Like tanking every dungi as a 2h war) is easy on K2, legit healer buddie doesn't have to drink every few pulls and we laugh in the face of those who disagree without proof or complain they're the same. Personally Nost REALLY gave in that special touch with the patch... Patchaniztion? i got no idea what you'd call it but. That really REALLY showed me they tried more then ANY other server out there, I'm not fan boy, i guess i sound like one eh? but i'm just a guy who likes his old wow. No, not even old wow. Just new games in general tend to fall off, not all of em But these new MMO's... They don't feel like MMO's or RPGS, i think they strain away from DND logic, and that is sorta The Father of all mmo's or RPGS

For someone that seems to have no hope left for Nostalrius, you spend plenty of time on these boards. I question why, when you could just be over on the K2 boards. Personally though, I'll be waiting to see what happens at Blizzcon. If there's no news about Nostalrius or Blizzard hosting at that point, I'll probably pack things up and move on. I don't have much hope left since there's no updates at all since the shutdown, but Nostalrius COULD bring the server back up, if they wanted to. Whether they intend to or not is beyond the point, and either way they have yet to ever say if they will or won't. They instantly caved under a legal threat, which is something most servers wipe their asses with. They hoped they had Blizzard's blessing, which is a laugh, and then hoped for a peaceful solution, which at this point, is probably safe to say, aint coming. It's time to wake up, bring the server back up, and tell em to fuck off the next time you get a scary letter they never follow up on to begin with. Every private server gets cease and desist letters. They ignore it and keep right on hosting.

If Blizzard says nothing at Blizzcon, at least contribute the Nostalrius code to the cores out there so that the thousands of players on other servers might benefit from all the work the Nost team put into the server code. I don't see any good reason to let all those years of good work go to complete waste.

No1 should have any hope for Nost, you gotta grasp the bigger picture. I still visit the forum every now and then for the community + possible news when it comes to Legacy. Personally i think Crestfall could become better than Nost - in terms of less stupid bugs (time will tell). I can see what the Nost team hoped for, but i have to agree with you, Blizz screwed em over. Looking at how the Nost team acted, i dont think you should ever count on them putting it back up. However, i will also move on from these forums after blizzcon (cause im 99% sure at this point that if they ever suggest something there, it will be something along the lines of shitty Pristine)
