I did buy Overwatch, tried to return it after 2-3 hours of playing, they refused because I was level 5 or something. Not happy about that.

That sucks, i never bought it because it just looked like a TF2 clone with moba parts sprinkled ontop of it, and it baffles me that so many play it and think its the greatest shit ever... Man humanity has really lowered their standard of what is considered a good game :?

Which is smarter? Not buying legion..seems obvious. Or Playing legion only to troll people so hard they quit playing. Hence if I can get two people to never play again, then that helps the cause right?

How do I troll that makes people quit? I magician never reveals his secrets...but believe me...I have magic.

Honestly, this point of yelling at anyone who dares to play modern WoW is pointless and holds about as much water as people who claim anyone who enjoyed Vanilla didn't enjoy it and only likes the nostalgia factor.

Some people like both variations of WoW, some like one over the other and that's just fine. Sure some people hated Legion and a few have enjoyed Legion no doubt, but to sit here and say that suddenly their opinion has no value is extremely idiotic to say the least.

I played in the game's beta back in I think 2003-early 2004 and I've played until now. Am I going to say Legion is perfect? Not really but it isn't that terrible TO ME from a gameplay perspective, I'm actually enjoying pushing Mythic+. I also thoroughly enjoyed Nostalrius (65 days played on PvE server from its release) but I'm not going to say you can like one or the other.

Grow up and quit hating people for liking things that you don't like.

I think its more like the fact that people disslike people who were pro legacy and anti retail - only to do a 180, which i can understand, have a friend who did that.

I would say people who have actually tried it are in a much better position to state their opinion on the good and the bad of Legion. An us or them attitude doesn't really help the cause. You only alienate people.
And because someone tries legion, doesn't mean they can't hold love for vanilla and hope for it's resurrection.
Also, how does trying legion harm the vanilla movement? Especially if they see large numbers, and the epic drop afterwards?
Talk about an emotional over-reaction.

It harms the chance/probability of there being official ones because you send blizzard the message that you still dont mind spending money on their current game. I think people who say that you dont deserve an oppinion then base it on the fact that they must be naive to think vanilla could "come back" through retail and a future expansion. just what i think about it really.

Blizzard doesn't want to create legacy servers, if they did they would have made them long ago. They will only create them if it makes them gain more money. If retail WoW sells well, they don't need legacy for money.

I get what your saying, but at the same time sales from the box are one thing, continued subscription numbers are another. Also, with how little overlap there seems to be in the retail vs the vanilla crowd, one doesn't have to threaten the other. It's a theory that a successful retail means no vanilla, but it's kind of not the same as it was years ago. WoD knocked WoW off it's we can do no wrong high horse just enough to open that dialogue with Nost. Will be watching Blizzcon closely.
It just seemed a bit silly to me to say something is complete garbage without having firsthand knowledge. And there is this sort of all or nothing attitude, us versus them, when reality is more gray. I absolutely think vanilla is a superior product for me, and I know what legion is, have tried it, and can still claim this about vanilla from an informed position.
