I've seen a lot of "nostalrius reopening?" "vanilla is back?" these days, and i felt like i had to create this thread.

So, speaking about any come back of Nostalrius, is not going to happen, and when i say is not going to happen i mean the chances are 0%, like when 1 of those turtles of hillsbrad foothills drop a cat pet , one of 35k turtles, and we only have 1 chance.

Now seriously, they are not opening the server, nor any fresh realm, simply because they (nost devs) decided to shut down the server , leaving this project.

Do you really think, even after going to blizzard CEO, they are just gonna say , "oh, they didn't mention anything at blizzcon, ok , lets go reopen". No guys no, nost devs are out of the game. All you can do is hoping that Blizzard releases Legacy servers, and honestly, i don't think it will happen, because they are focused in new projects to earn money, not spending resources on recreating old content just for a really little bit minority (even if they make legacy, how many people will pay for it and for how long, a 12 years old content with no progress...)

I don't know if they will talk about legacy, i don't know if they will make the shitty pristine servers... i just think legacy is more likely not going to happen, either from Blizzard or Nostalrius (the last one 100% sure)

I am curious to see what your exact interpretation of that part of Viper's statement.... what do you think the consequence is? If you don't know....make an educated guess. Something had to at least come to your mind when you read that part of his statement.

Now hold on there a minute, you seem to be trying to make a final conclusion in a book that hasn't even reached a peak yet.

Let me share a core thought that has been rotating around in my head.

Why is there still a moderator on the forums?

Now hold on a second, this isn't merely my point. A moderator, who I am 99% sure can contact Nost devs, who is actively riding the hype train that one of the highest rankers in the Nost team created, whom both are also not saying ANYTHING additional that's even remotely alluding to any sort of "decision" so to speak?

Sure you can try to explain that simply by saying "Because they don't have to" or "because they like watching nerds be hopeful that a ghost will come back to life" but I am SURE it is deeper than that.

What I'm not so sure about is the opinion that you can simply write off those fresh and good "As a consequence, if Blizzard doesn't make an announcement to honour their own core values, be sure that we will." and the "In the end, pleasing the community is the ONLY thing which should matter." statements as if they are just merely "giving up" words, because they sure as hell seem like the exact opposite of that.

At the same time, yes, they could be just trying to stir the pot to keep things alive,. But how are we or you to know? Are you a part of the Nost team to the extent of where you can make statements and threads such as this and be ONE HUNDRED percent sure as you seem to think you are? Have you somehow hacked into or listened in on any conversations that the Nostalrius team have made with eachother and Blizzard to the point where you know exactly what they said? FUCK NO

Both sides seem to be stirring together, floating apart and splitting our expectations into two exactly equal halves: no, or yes.

In closing, as it stands, there is literally no way we could know if it is either closing or reopening. Sure, there may be pointers and "clues" so to speak, but they all point in BOTH DIRECTIONS. At this point with our given information, ALL of the logic you can use goes BOTH WAYS. Nost did that on purpose. All we can do right now is attempt to speculate or attempt to deny. The only reason people reply and argue with these definitive answer threads is because there's still a lot, and I mean a LOT of hope left. Don't believe me? Go ask ANY of the players of that only active vanilla server left, let alone the people on Legion who state that Vanilla was better, or the people on the forums even. Oh yeah, there's hope.

If this is how the Nostalrius server is going to die, let me say it is likely one of the most legendary deaths of any private server for any game. And, the very same, it would be one of the most legendary revivals.
