If you knew anything at all about Blizzard, particularly the team that made WoW into a grand slam success, you'd know just how integral calling games shit-donkey is (or was) to Blizzard's own culture.

You grow up. We're closer to old Blizzard than Blizzard is now. Maybe I ought to buy Overwatch, just because Tigole's running that boat. Definitely not Legion though, lol.

Tigole was the sole reason I even purchased Overwatch. I knew the game had to be good.

That's the thing, people don't realize that WoWs foundation was made of top tier EQ players and that's what made it so successful aswell; and going back and seeing Tigole and Furor raging, it's basically nothing compared to what we've said about Blizzard lol

The fact you even use the word Toxic to try and explain something you don't know about makes you a huge Go back to League of Legends

Using the term toxic is toxic
Winfernal - 60 Orc Warrior (PvP)
Torghatten - 60 Gnome Mage (PvP)
Razà - 60 Undead Rogue (PvP)

R.I.P ^

Ya, unfortunately its a huge issue with the World of Warcraft community right now.
That includes the live game's and the private community, but its particularly bad here.

I understand why though. The people who played Nostalrius, including myself, have had something stolen from them. It hurts to feel that way, but its unhealthy to hold on to that resentment this long. I came to terms that Classic was an after thought and have enjoyed my time away from private servers.
They are a lot of fun, especially Nostalrius, but they often foster a lot of young, inexperienced players only attracted to the allure of nostalgia and enticed by the idea of it being free to play.

I am some one who loves World of Warcraft start to finish. I have made the greatest friendships I have ever made on both live servers and on Nostalrius.
Legion is easily the greatest launch of any expansion I have ever played, but I still want to play Classic so bad it aches.
I am extremely excited to see what they have to say at Blizzcon about ways they can continue to keep content coming out for Legion, because some of the ideas they have put in so far have been the best implementations they have ever done.
But I am also deeply saddened to learn that they will not be announcing official Legacy support that weekend either.

This is what it means to be a true fan of World of Warcraft.
You can (and should) prefer to play either expansion, but you should do so because you actually enjoy it.

Most people here seem to be blindly hating Blizzard with absolutely zero knowledge of their product, and a LOT of people are doing the same thing against Nostalrius. Even worse, parties on both sides let others make their opinions for them, and that leads to this mob mentality that we see on fan sites such as this one occasionally.

The Nost team has done the gaming community a great service by rehosting many people's most memorable and enjoyable time, but Blizzard works very hard to ensure their product is in top shape and is exceedingly competitive for players who have played the game for 12 + years.
Both deserve to thrive, and anyone who says otherwise is very jaded.
I really do hope we can see a symbiosis created. I would PREFER it to be Nostalrius helps run a legacy project for Blizzard, or something like that, where we have the stability and lag-free environment that Blizzard can provide, but the community focused mindset that the Nost team has demonstrated.

But at this point, it seems like that community would rather be at war than actually admit that they could benefit a LOT from having a bridge over their differences.

Anyways.

What the fuck is this shit?

I used to play here on nostalrius about 9 months ago if i remember.
It was all fun and i was having a blast, then i played less jada jada bla bla bla.
Nostalrius shuts down, i don't bother going to the nost forums for a long time.
300k sign petition, nost flies to blizz, t-shirt campaign.
Playing on W******s realm Lor**** during launch, it was fun and having a blast with no rdf, jada jada wotlk core and gameplay, jada jada. I lose interest because it turned into a ''hardcore'' realm.
I renew retail sub for legion pre-patch. I farm the toy and pets, do the FoS achievements.
Legion hits, it is all fun and im having a blast, still are.
Blizzcon is on the way, and i hear about nosts announcement. ''If you dont, we will'' thing.
I think ''well thats quite selfish nost, its not your game. But still, hope vanilla wow makes a return.''
I go to nost forums, and look through some posts.

THE HATE TOWARDS BLIZZ.
What the fuck?
Do you want legacy realms or not?
''lol fuck blizz, you'll loose interest of legion in a week'' shit.
Do you expect them to release legacy realms for people telling them how their current game is shit donkey?

Grow. Up.

Jaddy Jada, go have ur fun on Legion jaddy jadda boom, why do you even care? Existence of people that hate game you enjoy threatens your self-esteem or accuracy of your sense of quality? Derp big time, btw time you spent writing your shit took away from time your paid blizzard for to get your enjoyment so chop chop go kill demons and save the azeroth, now now.
