Look, what happened is in the past. To establish again the whole community, we need to be smart. Back in the old days, there wasn't a Kronos 2, only one Kronos. Also, Crestfall wasn't so close to launch, the community has some options now that weren't available back then.

If the big majority (over 65%) voted for new server, it's wise to listen to the demand.

4k people voted fresh start.

Nost average pop was 12-15k. So atleast 11k people didn't vote that they want fresh server. Assuming that big part of people who wants a fresh start are newcomers and old levelers.

PvE server was a ghost town.

No.

I started a few days before the Nostalrius PvE release.

Well, for a "longer" amount of time the PvE Server had a max peak of like 1.5k (what elysium had in the first weeks too, but rarely). At "non-EU" hours there mostly weren't even 600 players online.

This got better over the time. A lot of people from the PVP server made an alt there, rerolled there, or even new players joined Nostalrius as a whole.

It got around 2k-2.5k around early January (iirc) and up to a peak of 4k-4.5k until the nostalrius shut down.

This alone proves, the PvE server was actually never really a ghost town. The release wasn't as good as people hyped it before, but it was a good experience nevertheless.

And until Nost shutdown it was the best experience you could get for vanilla. PvE wasn't low pop and wasn't high pop. It had a perfect population with only ~4k, and nostalrius planned (somewhere in the pve server announcement) to have it capped at that in the end.

Ofc people enjoy or love a high population like the PvP server, or dislike PvE servers in general, but you can't force the people who do, to play on the server type you personally like the most.

There are also going to be lots of people that are all gung ho about a fresh start server. Then as they get repeatedly ganked over and over by the poopsocking no-legs-no-life virgins that hit level 40 in 5 hours, they're gonna say "fuck this shit" and come back to their Nost toons.

The old PvP server is going to be fine. I'm not concerned.

Jokes on you I'll play another game rather than the same one for the 4th, 5th, 6th time.

IMO the most logical would be pulling from the 4/6/2016 PVP calculation/Raid reset data store from the 10:00am (or what ever time they do it)

This ensures those who were doing their PVP grind, and the 2 that hit Rank 14 don't get the shaft, others that hit R13 (while those would have to hit the floor running to maintain that rank to complete their R14). *Insert quick suggestion > if server is relaunched on an odd day and most likely during lower player base time to freeze honor gain / decay until the following Wednesday morning).

I don't PVP but just looking out for those that do.

This also accommodates the PVE minded players that completed their last raid bosses the Tuesday before reset. US players raid past 00:00 server time Wednesday morning, and many people would lose their loot gained during a raid reset period that no notifications were in place about the CnD letter.

These numbers are not comparable mate. Though, it's hard to decipher what you actually mean. There is obviously high demand for a new server, as well as demand for the old.
