I get why people are mad, it just isn't helpful at this exact moment. If Blizzard will comply and open up their own legacy servers or let Nostalrius operate one under a licensce, then in that world Blizzard are doing the right thing. The fact that Blizzard are talking with Nostalrius about this means that they are indeed interested in complying with the demand for legacy servers. So if you hope for this solution and think that a solution could be reached (why even care otherwise?) Blizzard must be doing the right thing, it's kinda pointless expressing yourself if you don't think they do. If it turns out that the talks with Nostalrius are pointless then get mad at that point; I will too! :)

Regarding this Pristine Realm thing, I don't get why people are mad about it either assuming the same reasoning as above. Because it is a necessary step in the right direction for retail to improve. Yeah, there's still lots of things that needs to be done for retail to be worthwhile for me at least, but all these things that Pristine Realms offer are necessary for it's improvement. And I have no doubt that if Blizzard does allow Nostalrius to operate, then they are prepared to compete with their old game. That's the mindset a company has to have if I would be paying a monthly fee to it, regardless of their past. If they perform shitty just don't subscribe, paying for something is your own responsibility. I unsubbed early Cataclysm like a responsible consumer should do. Saying that you should never pay Blizzard again because of "this" or "that" is just stupid and childish. If they release a great product you might miss out on that. It just makes you look even more stupid and childish, it wastes space and even more so if they do comply with the demand. Because then I'm sure you would say the exact opposite. Ffs, don't do it to yourself, lol.

Pristine servers was just a joke from our friend J Allen Brack. Something to split the legacy community. Dont even imagine they are thinking about doing it. This is just a communication war.

Sure it could be like that, but it's too speculative for my liking. I would want to see legacy servers and therefore this "hey i'm just mad at Blizz" is not constructive. It presupposes that no solution is found.

Blizzard will never, ever license a Third Party (e.g. Nostalrius) and allow them to host Legacy servers, at least not so long as J Allen Brack is VP at Blizzard:

"And while we’ve looked into the possibility – there is not a clear legal path to protect Blizzard’s IP and grant an operating license to a pirate server."

Ok, but why are they even talking with Nostalrius staff then? Wasting their precious time and money for nothing? Too early at this point to dismiss that statement. Nostalrius will probably release something about this; confirming or denying their success.

Publicity stunt.

Since Nostalrius is backed up by 235,000 signatures, they had to make some show of "talking to them". That's all.

I am aware that the statement was forced to come now, but that one goes both ways. This doesn't prove anything. Nostalrius has not yet confirmed that the talks with Blizzard were unsuccesful. If there was a solution, then it would probably take some time. Again, I'm just waiting for the message from Nost staff before i react for no reason.
