Wrathran wrote:Yes it does. You have to adjust your expectaions to this FREE server.
Nostalrius is NOT a "free to play game". It's a freaking pirate private server dude.

Show me evidence of you claim or else you are just full of bullish when you blame the Chinese for your ping. And even if it's true, so what? It's a freaking FREE pirate private INTERNATIONAL server.

Oh really? What I see is a QQ bullshit thread blaming the Chinese, AGAIN, for anything bad that you poor poor American (I'm guessing) experience on this European International server. F-ing amzing how f-ed up that sounds when you read it out loud...

I will say it again. The only real problem here are some players expectations and ignorance.

Or in your case, laziness. You could play on the PvE realm if you want to reduce serverlag but buhu it's to much work to level up again for you... But you go on blaming the Chinese instead. Very constructive.

People don't adjust their expectations over night. We all have common expectations that need to be met in order for us to play on a private server full time. This is why some private servers have maximum populations of ten players and others have several thousand. Your notion that people have to adjust their expectations to private servers is stupid because there is already a common expectation of what a good private server consists of. Also stop touting the whole FREE nonsense like every other useless idiot on these forums. You act as if we don't know this lol.

The fact that you don't understand my analogy of F2P games only further demonstrates how simple minded you are. Let me reiterate for you: F2P games must uphold the same standards as paid games in respects to many performance areas. Therefore just because a product or service is free does not mean it is immune to criticism or that it has to disregard set standards and expectations. Also 'pirate private server' lol. You're one of those jackasses. I've argued with your kind all to much.

Making an inquiry for evidence that is inherently anecdotal is laughable. Do you really think I'm going to document my latency every 30s over the course of three months or something? Anyway I have a consistent internet connection with consistent speeds. When I started playing on this server at launch I always had somewhere around 151 to 158 ms ping. Even back then the server didn't have this much delay, and they were on worse hardware that was in accordance with the max given population of 7 or 8k. I play within the same timeframe every session and my ping fluctuates way more and there is way more delay at any given moment. This is in comparison to 4 months ago, prior to the giant Chinese migration. Everyone acknowledges the delay, yet you pretend it's normal and we shouldn't talk about it. You also make the same argument again in which you claim we have no right to criticize because it's something free.

Then your post falls into pathetic attacks on character, derogatory comments towards my nationality, and self censorship (just say fuck you chump). You are in no position to comment on any of these issues while you are defending a population that is not only destructive to its well-being but also apathetic, using the same tiresome rhetoric as every other forum goer, as well as pathetic and useless ad hominem.

I suggest you stick to peddling your dead and viewer-less youtube channel.

100% agree with you here, its not 2010 anymore private servers have standards to meet if they want to stay in the game.
Wrathran has acted like a fool here, he will no doubt try to quote mine your response in order to get some wierd kind of victory here.

No its not lol, apologies if it looks that way. I simply agree with what you are saying i remember starting on private servers years ago and standards were a heck of alot lower than they are now. Expectations are alot higher now and with good reason, there is competition.

Regarding the quote mining from Wrath he has done this to me on a previous topic to try and make me look stupid because he had no way to argue against my point as a whole, so he will no doubt try and do it to you.
You notice how he completely skipped over this part of your original post:
" Nostalrius wants to retain its audience and therefore it maintains a number of expectations such as uptime, staff, working raids, etc. The notion that nostalrius does not have to maintain a set standard is ridiculous and I advise you to stop using this overused argument. "
Which when read in context with the rest of your post makes sense and validates your point, but he refuses to respond to it because he simply cant. Appears his aim is to quote mine, use caps and retarded sentences to gain some kind of victory in his own head.

Thank you for being honest. I've had to deal with a lot of different forum posters in the past so I sometimes suspect subtle sarcasm where there is not. I see what you're getting at: His strategy is to quote individual statements only and not the argument as a whole. It's good for trolling I'll give it that, and has the potential to sway viewers to consider your point over the person being quote.

Back on the topic of lag... anyone know a good VPN so I could possibly get down to 100 or 120 ms from 150? lol.

Damn son, you need to get out more. No wonder you nerdrage so much.
Lifealert wrote:Your notion that people have to adjust their expectations to private servers is stupid because there is already a common expectation of what a good private server consists of.

Well let's agree on disagreein on that one dude. You Sit on the other side of the planet and QQ about Chinese players and lag on an European INTERNATION server. You are an idiot. How about that?

Lifealert wrote:Also stop touting the whole FREE nonsense like every other useless idiot on these forums. You act as if we don't know this lol.

You act like a spoiled brat.

Lifealert wrote:The fact that you don't understand my analogy of F2P games only further demonstrates how simple minded you are.

F2P games are business made to make mney. They sell a product for profit that they have created.
Nsotalrius is a PIRATE SERVER you buffoon.

Lifealert wrote:Let me reiterate for you: F2P games must uphold the same standards as paid games in respects to many performance areas.

Yes sire they do. But you now, again, it's a pirate game you play here stolen from Blizzard.

Lifealert wrote:Therefore just because a product or service is free does not mean it is immune to criticism or that it has to disregard set standards and expectations.

YOu don't critise the server, you criticize the "Chinese" for you ping like an idiot.

Also 'pirate private server' lol. You're one of those jackasses. I've argued with your kind all to much.

Yes, this is a PIRATED game on a private server. Am I a jackass for living in reality and not living in a fairy-tail thinking this is a F2P game like you?

Waaaaaaait for it, waaaaaait for it....

Lifealert wrote:This is in comparison to 4 months ago, prior to the giant Chinese migration.

And there we go! Let's blame the "Chinece"!
Everyone acknowledges the delay, yet you pretend it's normal and we shouldn't talk about it. You also make the same argument again in which you claim we have no right to criticize because it's something free.

Everyone acknowledge the delay, as you know, we play the game. But we don't feel the urge to make bullshit nerdrage butthurt QQ threads blaming the Chinese. Or as you call it, "talking about it".

QQ moa

Lifealert wrote:I suggest you stick to peddling your dead and viewer-less youtube channel.

I mean you can call it, bad, silly, pointless, pathetic, but dead? It have actually got 25k views so far and it's less than 1 month old which is pretty hilarious.

Anyway to sum it all up here.

1. An American play on european international pirate private server and blames the Chinese for his ping.

2. Wrathran comes along and say: Shut up nyyb.

3. Drama happens.

That is like trying to get more water out of a garden-hose by using a longer hose.
