To be fair, some of tweaks made to C'thun fit more the category of bug fix than nerf. Tentacle inside the stomach, 2 tentacles in the same spawn, "Friendly to the Armies of C'thun" debuff not being applied at times to the person inside the stomach so he'd get attacked from the tentacles outside.

On top of that, ElitistJerks judged the fight t be mathematically impossible since the DPS needed to kill all the tentacle spawns, at the same time, over all the room, was just above what people could pull off with the tools available to them at the time. Although who knows, maybe they weren't collecting every single world buff, Dire Maul buff and consumable buff. It'd be interesting to revisit that fight see if our l33t guys here manage to do it.

LK H25 no nerf was, mathematically possible, but with a minuscule room of error and practically no slacking in the slightest allowed for the DPS. No guild ever managed to pull it off. Paragon got him at the -5% nerf, and only they did so, the rest of the guilds required even bigger bonuses.

Think that to this day, the no nerf version, it's the only fight that players simply couldn't beat, unless you include C'thun which is a special case like I said.

pretty sure a few guilds killed 0% lich king after they had farmed it for awhile

and honestly a big reason guilds didn't kill it sooner is because of the 50 attempts per week thing

Hahaha, vanilla PvE is a game of illusion. Does anyone here really think PvE takes much skill at any point in the games life? Not really. It's literally made so you can kill it, it's like saying "I slept with a prostitute therefore I am good at picking up women". Like really just look at what you have to do in a raid. All your gear, buffs, and rotations are all static and taken care of, just go look up guides. What do you need to do? look at whos low hp as healer spam your one heal, cast frostbolt as dps, and spam aggro moves as tank. Theres hardly any thought. In fact when I raid, if I don't feel like it and its just for gear I'll be watching youtube videos while healing and I still top meters and never let anyone die.

But, pvp... you are facing another human. Other humans do not want you to kill them, they won't just give in like PvE superhard computers will. It's not a used up prostitute where you go pay 50 bucks and get'er dun, its something where you must have finesse, skill, and ever changing mind and ability to respond to random situations. On top of that, real competition, its either win or other human win. This is the only place where WoW actually takes skill.

Even in 2005 where people "didn't know the raids", it still takes next to no skill. You just figure out what the boss does once, then spam your same rotations and blah blah you win you are a winner! everyone is a winner! hahaha world of daycarecraft. WoW should of had a PvP focus from the very beginning it would of been the greatest game on earth then. Too bad the community who spoke the most back then was fat effimate neckbeards whos mind couldn't handle anything else other than pressing 2 buttons, and blizzard listened...

And above all, the ability to jump in circles around your opponent.
