You guys are very wrong.

Only a minor % of the people who played vanilla back in the old days (the nostalgics) and a few of retail and modern wow would come back.

The people who signed the letter is irrelevant, most of them just did it cos watched famous streaming or just was asked to.

I know people IRL who was +rank12 and hardcore player in vanilla, they play retail from time to time, and they wouldn't come back to vanilla, why? Not because it is shit, just because they already cleared that content, and has no point on keeping playing in a limited-content game.

Btw i also want vanilla servers, dont missunderstand me

I read so many players saying "I would try it but then quit when I get bored".

What many do not realize is that if you are a player who is into the whole MMORPG thing, a very, very, very likely scenario is that instead of quitting you will just get hooked. That is the magic of the wow of old. It got players absolutely hooked to an extent that is hard to describe. Current wow just isn't close to as addictive.

Many players who haven't played vanilla or was far too young when wow came out will be in for a huge surprise. If they fit the mold for a vanilla wow fan they are in for the gaming experience of a lifetime, if vanilla servers ever become a thing that is.

+1

they are in for the gaming experience of a lifetime

Just needed to pull that out of your post for emphasis, because that is what it is all about. You've seen all the Nost videos, those people were having a lifetime experience (again), because Blizzard took that away a few years ago. If you didn't play on Nost you have no clue how close the community was .. we intensely loved each other we intensely hated each other. World Chat was buzzing ALWAYS.

We even loved our trolls (I really miss Waxface btw) and the ones who were really socially inept learned to behave if they wanted a place in the community. That doesn't happen with crossrealm because they could get away with shit with impunity.

Even if people had nothing to do, it was the social aspect that kept people coming back to hang out and just do stupid stuff for shits and giggles, or rally the troops to help a friend get their BiS on their 3rd alt. Why don't people understand that part of it? Have we become such an isolated society that the developers of video games don't think we crave social interaction except during special blizzcon events?

By your standards you should go apply for Grizzly.

I play WoW since 2005 and i still play but i play only Vanilla .... why ? because everything that was released more than Vanilla (with some minor exceptions in TBC) was "Auto Pilot" , "Nerf" , "Change of Mechanics" and so on .. Today WoW retail is nothing but IPhone Joke. Vanilla was the real Spirit.

All my friends that was playing back in 2005/6 i seen in Nostalrius , friends that i almost forgot them since so much time didn't see , now they was here...... which mean your logic is nothing but illusion to deny reality.

Im sorry guys if you feel bad for what im saying but you should calm your tits, since i was trying to meant that only a minor part of the old players of vanilla would come, since most of them and basing on the experience will not be interested in playing for more than a month. Is not "a guy told me" "i heard", is people who i know and i met 10 years ago.

And you know by youself that most of people who play retail basically hates vanilla for any fanboy reason. As i said, im the first one interested in playing legacy servers.

1) I don't know what u have against grizzly but ok
2) why so salty?
3) why do you need to insult when posting what you think? i didn't insult anyone, just makes me think you are a retarded nobrainer.
