So more money to blizzard and destruction of pirate competition same time.
You know there are actually people who like to use vanilla servers at home for family too? Some use it to create stories and events based on WoW story for machinima etc. It's overly simplified to just call everyone non-paying scrubs. There are way more reasons for private servers than just lack of cash.
I'm only interested about the future of Private servers what offers their "product" as public service. Other words - as a game. Other than that I'm fine what people likes to use server emulators.
But what simply gets me triggered - Is the fact that some spoiled and entitled parasites uses our great movement for their personal taste to diminish everything this new evolution of Blizz-like gaming servers have tried to offer its playerbase.
I'm scared that middle of negotiation we start to see mobs with public outcry for limiting financial solutions blizzard should do in order to launch Legacy server. In a moment where all parties are looking solutions for it. It gives not wanted pressure, negative suspicion to size of paying customers and draw down financial interests to launch such services.
Talking with Blizzard about the future of Legacy servers is the next step - way to evolve Blizz-like Legacy server scene with a trait no players have had before:
constancy of service. And that's the big word right there.
