I think it was successful meeting. I love how mike said they have not lost the source code to mark! It makes you think that all of this is actually possible. So I understand this now being at "maybe" for legacy servers instead of no which people have claimed. This situation of legacy servers all seems to rely on how to solve technical issues. And I too would love to know how the Nostalrius team overcame these technical issues, and possible future technical issues IF legacy servers were to come around!

lol those anti legacy posts baffle me. Its not like its going to affect them, they probably don't even want to play legacy, so why all the negativity? We all love WoW, and we just want to to play the game how it was then. Overall its helping the game, why can't we all just get along and be friends? lol.

It's fear. They genuinely believe Legacy servers will destroy the Live community by siphoning off players in addition to new players subscribing only to play vanilla. But Blizzard knows the legacy and live communities can coexist, and will likely crossover into each.

If Morhaime genuinely does care about this stuff and is passionate about this being done just right, and not just completely for the sake of the dollar, then I would hope that he personally oversees the development of vanilla servers in a way that is not associated with its programming, but instead its features and whatnot

i dont want the lower management to make some stupid decision as making vanilla wow any more casual than it was before, and i dont want them to release a buggy server because of a hard release date where they only fixed the priority #1 bugs that'll make the game unplayable such as the client crashing whenever you zone into mulgore but didn't fix priority #3 bugs such as the rare spawn in maraudon never spawning or searing totem scaling off of attack power instead of bonus spell damage or a quest in duskwood being uncompletable without GM assistance; those are hypothetical bugs btw

if any changes(other than bug fixes) or extra content should be added to previous expansion packs of WoW at all, it would ONLY be to finish making unfinished quest chains, such as the chained essence of eranikus quest chain

also design choices such as charlga razorflank being level 37 is just fine
