I don't really post a lot on these forums, but I was long playing character on Nost, I made tons of gold, tons of enemies, killed plenty of dragons, made 3 fucking sets on my lock!!; made a budget for all my gold expenses every week so I could raid every week and it felt so god damn good to be so organized in WoW. I even was working on another mage because i made my character so efficient. I could not log on for 2 weeks and still be able to just raid if i so chose to. But because it was a good game i sometimes spent more time on it. My 60 Lock and me made tons of memories on the horde with my buddies in Pantheon. I never ever was this good at playing this game when i was younger either, I played with the arrows keys for movement for fucks sake and made a "battle mage", a meele mage that swords and offhands and instants only. I didnt know about ranks either. But god damn it I made it to lvl 21. Then i rolled a hunter i got to 51 and my pc broke.
I never thought I could have as much fun in WoW as I did when I started playing on Nostalrius. It was a brilliant experience.
http://steamcommunity.com/id/gottie4u/screenshots/Funny enough, all those things i mentioned about organization I actually began to adopt in my personal life as well since I was always a little displaced with my things and stuff. So I started thinking of all the things in my apartment as a "inventory" and bought notebooks and a file cabinet to keep track of a ton of things in certain categories. Same thing with my cabinets, bought a dick ton of mason jars, labels, and a notebook to track meals and shit and never eat out anymore because of it. But besides the fact that Vanilla showed me organizational skills I thought I never had I applied to RL and it feels good.
I don't believe Blizzard will give us a server, I am pessimistic person, but I will still hope I am wrong and instead they announce a release or dev process of some sort. But I what do also hope is that if Blizzard goes south and gives us the pristine bullshit or nothing I hope Nost rebels and doesn't forsake it's community and releases the code but not the characters, I am willing to start the journey over again somewhere on a Baltic server with no P4Characters or any kind of monetized service.
I played on Retail starting in Vanilla and unfortunately missed out on the Burning Crusade, but I did play when Wrath first started and I remember what it was before all the LFG, it had a right feel to because we still had to explore and navigate to the dungeons. Hell flying mounts were actually great in certain zones in Northrend because of how fucking huge they were. But, I think they could have added more way to take down enemy faction in Icecrown. Remember the ships? The quest that offered to 12 allies a day? Holy god the WPvP that would have enaged would have been epic, but some would cry because by 3.2-3.3 the game began its descent to casualization; all the way till WoD, I hated what Blizzard had the made game ever since they were taken over by Activison and I hope a new MMO entirely does carve the way if worse comes to worse.
