I'm surprised they still type text as opposed to linking troll meme images. It's the rock bottom of the barrel when it comes to posters, and they begin filling up forums after every intelligent player has left and moderation is no longer performed. A forum is not Google images. It is not Facebook or Twitter. It is not Instagram. If you just want to link stupid images, try one of those sites.

There are a few of them who do exactly that, and they tend to get up voted by other forum posters.
It's one thing to link a meme in response to criticism and act like it's an argument, but it's something else entirely to then have everyone treat it as one.

Blizzard created their own shitty community...even if they do create Legacy servers, the two communities have completely different goals and bear little resemblance to one another.

Yep. Hopefully we won't be seeing any of those toxic and idiotic fanboys in Legacy servers, If they try it out I doubt they'll keep playing past level 5 after they rage quit complaining that Vanilla was too hard and return to the live game to collect pets and toy boxes

This actually happened during the last weeks Nostalrius was up.

I read a post at the NA forums where some guy with 12k achievements who claimed he was a mythic raider (did not bother to check his achies) played Nostalrius and rage quitted at level 5 after his toon got killed by 2 murlocs in the pool east of the Goldshire Inn.

I should have screenshotted the post. It is typical of the Retail community, children who want to play only when "IWIN buttons" are available and who do not want nor enjoy any kind of challenge.

I hate retail wow community. They are same bred as army that whined that vanilla is too elitist-centered, too hardcore, that 40 mans are shit and every1 deserve epix. If that same people carried on to WoD, being fed shit all way long and even paying for that... they can't be worth anything, let alone sane.

It's a different generation with a different attitude. It was the start of "No Child Left Behind" educational program. Every kid gets a medal. Everything is easy. Not to say it's better or worse, it's just different and that seems to be the norm.

Just like the current players on Nostalrius. I believe the average age is probably in the mid 20s. That makes the majority of the "Vanilla" players little kid newbies when Vanilla hit. Already there is a generation attitude gap. People aren't willing to wait 30 minutes for a group, tanks complaining about money, "reserving" loot, tanking charging gold because they're too lazy to level an alt to make gold, etc. Again, it's a generation attitude change.

Things were always trending towards being more casual. Heck, Vanilla was the most casual MMO of it's time. But, let things lie. It's better not to judge. To each his/her own.

Here in Nostalrius there were the occasional trolls in-game, many earned a bad reputation among the community. I remember the people that wiped raids in purpose and ninja looted items, I'm sure most of them had a pretty tough time getting into groups later on.

We had to counts of ninja looting. Those people quit the game soon after due to the sheer difficulty they faced with any social aspects of the game after.

Nobody trusted them, they were no welcome to any NA timed raids as our guilds communicated which bad-apples we came across with the other 5 guilds that were top NA performers. Your actions every day, and words you chose to use can affect your time in WOW unlike in retail where there is no backlash for your actions.

I find amusing how retail players claim Vanilla was full of bugs yet the live game is full of them as well, I remember getting a flight path bug when I was still subscribed in WoD.

The game has fewer bugs than in the past, for many reasons, just like it looks better and runs better. But it's all window dressing for a shitty product. I'll always hope that one day we can get older versions hosted with a newer engine and graphics. But it'll never happen until Blizzard gets their feet out of their mouths.
